The Dynamo – A Honda Unicorn Cafe Racer by Furious Customs – Kolhapur

Honda started its independent operations in India since 2012. The news had sent the entire media Industry on fire and was the headlines of all the papers back then. Since then, Honda has come a long way in the two-wheelers segment. One of their most celebrated product is the Honda Unicorn. Launched back in 2004, the Unicorn has been enjoying massive sales and success. The primary reasons being the no-nonsense look, the reliability and the frugal service cost with the widespread service network, and also another reason being that we Indians love Jap vehicles, don’t we?

This was the reason why Furious Customs, Kolhapur, decided to work on the project, their bike being the Unicorn. Turns out, this was the second Unicorn they have been working on. When Ashish from Furious Customs started working on the project, he had decided to make the project unique and unlike anything he had done before. They started by discarding all the body parts and panels.

The Chassis more or less has been retained without major modifications. Starting from the front, the forks have been retained, but with increased travel. The handlebar has been replaced with a wider and lower one. The stock headlight has been replaced with a round one, which is an all-LED light.

Gone is the round bulbous tank, and is replaced with a streamlined straight metallic tank, which has recesses to accommodate the knees when one is riding. The seat is custom made and caved in all leather to add to the sex appeal of the bike. Also to increase the ground clearance, Furious Customs has managed to increase the suspension travel in the front and also in the back. The bike also features leather pockets on either side on the quarter panels. The rear seat also has a cowl to cover it. The rear turn indicators and the brake light has been integrated into the chassis. All this complete with silver paint and sporty racing stripes

Furious custom has managed to put a complete package, which serves the purpose, looks beautiful and is also artistic in a way.
