The Yamaha FZ16 has been around in India for a long time. Reliability, super smooth engine, and masculine looks, have earned the bike a niche fan following. Tipping the scales at around 135 Kg, the bike is pretty light and nimble. This is further reinforced by a very linear power delivery and a fuel-efficient engine, keeping the operational costs low.

PFB, Bangalore, has managed to do a splendid custom mod to the FZ16. Christened as the raptor, the FZ is now a scrambler. Raptor Is an F-22 is an all-weather stealth jet, in the US air force. The name instills a sense of aggression in your thoughts.

The list of mods on the bike is pretty simple, with no, or limited mods to the chassis. The bike receives a custom-made front headlight, which resembles a fighter pilot mask. The assembly has two super-bright LEDs set up to illuminate the road less taken. The front headlight assembly receives a led turn indicator.

In it’s natural habitat

The bike receives a custom beak in the front. The front fender has been chopped and reduced in length to give it more appeal. As one moves towards the rear side of the bike, you will notice that the rear quarter panels have been completely removed, and the stock tank has been retained. The rear side of the bike gets a custom frame for the seat. The seat has been replaced with a flat one, wrapped in tan leather.

The rear of the bike gets a custom rack. Since the rear mudguard has been chopped off, the bike receives a custom tail tidy which is flanked by indicators. The bike also receives a custom crash guard. To tackle the rough terrain, the ground clearance of the bike has been increased as well.

PFB has managed to theme the bike perfectly. The bike looks very burly, without being intimidating.
