Copperhead a custom hand-made bobber by Vega choppers

For as long as anybody can remember, the bikes from Royal Enfield have been the country’s favorite motorcycle for customization. For many years, we’ve watched the classic 350, Electra and even the Thunderbird and others flaunt a variety of personalized modifications made in our own nation as well as other countries across the world. Here we will have a look at a custom bobber that has been made from scratch by Vega Choppers. From a distance, it could seem as though the team has produced a simple bobber, but You’ll be surprised by all the intricacies when you get near the bike. This has been done intentionally. To the untrained sight, the bike looks pretty straightforward, but to the trained eye, it stands out.

All the bikes from Vega choppers have been one of a kind to date, and the copperhead is no different. The team went with a very straight and simple philosophy of Metal with design is elemental. The donor bike is a Classic 350, out of which majorly only the engine was used. The team started by taking out the parts apart and fabricating the mod. The chassis is a custom hardtail frame with an ergonomically designed cast frame neck and the cast rear axle plate constructed from 4130 Chromoly steel tubing. In the front of the bike, the team went with a rather conventional halogen headlight which looks old school yet perfect. The front suspensions are USD from the KTM series.

The stock handlebar has been replaced with a custom Street tracker style handlebar made with 316-grade stainless Steel. The handlebars that have been fixed on handlebar raisers are machined from a solid piece of 6082-grade aluminum alloy and anodized in a silver shade. The Alien teardrop Wassell style mid-tunnel gas tank is Built from cold rolled steel sheet manually. Flip Top hot rod gas cap has been machined from a 6082-grade aluminum alloy & 316-grade stainless steel billet.

The bike also receives a custom foot peg and the shifter which has been machined to perfection from 2024-grade aluminum alloy. The motorcycle has grenade turn signals, made and machined from solid 6082-grade aluminum. The seat on the bike is a beautiful hand-tooled leather seat upholstery made with vegetable-tanned leather and receives a hand-made seat pan with hydraulic shocks below it.

Even the Tank dash Panel is made out of 3003 H -14 grade aluminum alloy sheet by hand. The Headlight shell, fender, oil tank-styled utility box, and gas tank all are built from cold rolled steel by using a power hammer, shrinker-stretcher, planishing hammer & bead roller. The team from Vega choppers has fitted the bike with a custom Clip on upswept custom megaphone exhaust and a Retro Lucas style tail light on the rear. The tires are 4.50 X 18 Ts – 708A Timsuns, and to top off the design, the bike receives a copper rust paint scheme.

The rides from Vega choppers have always been a kind of stunner, and the Copperhead is no different with its retro yet sexy appeal. Camouflaged in the gorgeous earth tone, like its namesake, this motorcycle will thrive regardless of the terrain be it Rock, dirt, sand, or mud.
