MS Dhoni, the legendary cricket captain, is well-known for his passion for automobiles and motorcycles. From classic antique automobiles to the most costly motorcycles, Dhoni has some of the ancient portions of them that have become icons today. One of them is the Yamaha RD350, which Dhoni just had received from Syed Jadeer, a restoration expert from Mysore. Syed and his team built the motorcycle.

We have seen various pictures and videos on Facebook and Instagram that shows MS Dhoni with 2 restored Yamaha 350’s but in an interview, Syed Jadeer made things clear that only the Green Competition RD350 model was gifted to MS Dhoni and the other yellow-painted gold bike was just brought to showcase their restoration work. The yellow-painted gold bike has become a priceless addition to their collection as now its fuel-tank features Dhoni’s autograph.

The motorcycle was a US-spec model, according to the custom-builder, and it had been thoroughly restored. The entire restoration procedure took about a year, and we can see the care and attention that went into these custom bikes by glancing at the photos. All of the parts utilized in the restoration were found locally in India, according to the restorer.

In India, Yamaha introduced the RD350 in 1983, and it was the only bike that was a performance bike with a 350cc parallel-twin two-stroke unit engine at the time. The LT and HT versions of the motorcycle were offered. The LT model had a maximum power of 27 bhp, while the HT model had a maximum power of 31 bhp.

The Yamaha RD350 is still in high demand, especially in India, decades after it was discontinued. There are many collectors and enthusiasts who own one, as well as many others who are on the lookout for one. M.S. Dhoni recently received one that is identical to a brand new RD350 from the 90s.
